New blogs

Check out the two new blogs I found and think describe me to a T and I will fit in with very well.

Let's see there is White Trash Mom (fitting, right?) and I am bossy (Oh that fits too) I think I am missing Bitchy, Pathetic blah blah.. coming from- I no longer have a flavor of the month but flavor of the week club. ;->

Minus two

Yesterday d2 took her mouse (Minnie) to her mom's house. And when we came home today d1 found that her mouse (Nadia) had died. I'm not sure what happened to him. He wasn't curled up like normal animals die he was lying on his belly with his back legs out. No one was really interested in a burial service so Emma and I gave him his last rights in the bathroom and then flushed him. Emma tried to look under the toilet for him. Maybe now she will get back to normal and won't have that nervous breakdown after all.

R.I.P. little guy.

Summer Fun

We went to the lake yesterday afternoon and played around in the water, ate dinner, played cornhole and had a bon fire. My SIL went home so I stayed in the camper with 6 kids. They were so tired they went right to sleep but I was freezing and I finally got up and found that my niece had set the A/C at 60. brrrrr....

I love camping down here. It's just family and friends and it's like 5 minutes away from the house. There is no traveling, no expensive hotel room and the kids love it. It's the easiest vacation, no roughin it here though, we have a shower house with hot water, bathroom, ceiling fans, frig, and microwave in the shelter houses. There is so much for the kids to do. They can swim, canoe, boat, tube, ride jet ski (age limit), play in the sand, ride bikes, play games and they even love to paint rocks. There is one shelter house that is used for crafty stuff. One year they wrote Toby Keith on the picnic table. He was supposed to come down and fish while in Cincinnati for a concert but never made it.

There is only rule to all this fun..... if you are in the water you must have a life jacket on. Period!!!

The kids went to the other side of the lake to build a rope swing on the cliff.

We have a new generation of water babies. I only had to ask him once if he wanted to go with the big boys. His answer was "Yep" and he headed out in the water. Then he cried when he had to get off the float. **Second Picture** Looks like someone took a bath in the lake.

Some fancy jumps- The cousins from Texas went fishing- The boys have some Captain in them.

"Why do you have to take so many pictures?" Because I want to have pictures and memories of my child experiencing everything in life.

Jet Ski vs. Canoe
This is part of the 498 pictures I took last night and today. I will post more tomorrow.

New Addition

We have added 2 new additions to our family. The girls each got a mouse as a pet. Nadia(boy) and Minnie (to be announced, sex undetermined at this time) Let's count..
1 dog- Emma Sue (full blood Yorkie)
1 cat- Baxter Bean (full blood mutt cat)
1 fish- Ozzy the fish of darkness
1 turtle- Fraynk (with a Y)
1 toad- Burn (found by the fire pit)
1 tank of no name fish
and now 2 mice- Nadia and Minnie

I think we are complete.

Emma is going to have a nervous break down over these mice around the house. Baxter the hunter could care less cause it's not a challange if he can't chase and pounce on it.

Happy Nap Time

Update- George is doing better.. Hang in there.
Look at these snuggle bugs.

Baxter and Emma are thinking about a fellow furrrbaby that is in the hospital. George we hope you get better.

Our weekend

This is the first weekend that G and I have had a childless weekend since March. It's kind of weird cause there is always somebody here. Since yesterday the girls have been with their mom and my son is with his dad. I hope they are having fun. We just needed a break once in a while to look at each other and ask. "What do WE want to do?" G is at work right now and I have been making Pica de Gallo and Apple Salsa and then we are going out.

I also cleaned this blog off of all the old posts. I really enjoy journaling our lives. It's kind of like an online scrapbook that my friends and family can see and keep up with us since they are so far away. This is a new chapter and I hope you enjoy it.
