School closing
I have one big stupid question? What idiot decides if they kids have school or not? Okay I know the answer but why does ours have to be a complete dumbass...
Okay so far we have had about 10 inches of snow (maybe more I quit counting) with ice somewhere in the middle with a few days of melting only to make more smooth, slick ice. Then all the neighboring schools that we follow (notice follow not lead cause we would hate to think for ourselves) are closed or delayed but we still at 2 am can't decide if we are going to close or not. Now today I drove through 4 different towns, burgs, cities and only one had the their main street completely clear and what do you say, they are on a 2 hour delay but our city that is still covered can't decide...hmmmm? should we close or let's put kids on buses that have to crawl at 5 mph so they don't slide off the road and kill anyone. If I get a call that there is a bus accident I will and I'm letting you know now cause I won't be back. I will have a full blown conniption fit and probably be arrested. So what if we have to go a few days.. maybe the teachers could give up an in service day..hmmm there's a thought. I just don't get it..it's a no brainer... sorry just had to vent. I know 10 inches isn't much to some but it is for us. Anywho... move on..thanks for listening.

Beauty to some
This week we got hit with snow, ice and then more snow. The kids were off school but it was too bad to really take them anywhere to sled. I made it to and from work the last two night with no trouble. My land yacht is awesome and I love it.. Driving to work at 1130 at night can be a bit scary when the roads are this bad but I stuck it in 4 wheel drive and off I went.. Here are a few pics from our front porch. When I woke up this afternoon a vehicle was off in the ditch in front of our house.

"M" is for MOOOOOOO, no not really
My blog friend, Cathy had this great meme posted today. I thought it was so fun and decided to join in!
Here are the guidelines:If you want to play, leave a comment on this post letting me know, and I’ll assign you a letter. You write about ten things you love that begin with your assigned letter, and post it at your place. When people comment on your list, you give them a letter, and the chain continues on and on...Cathy assigned me the letter "M". I was hoping for a really cool letter like...hmmm? IDK...? some other than "M" This was a bit hard but I searched deep and well.... So here goes...
Here are my 10...not in any particular order...
1. Mardi Gras- I went to Mardi Gras when I was 18 years old. Here's a few views on that.
It's a good thing I went then cause I wouldn't be able to hang now. It's definitely a young person, stay up all night, able to make a come back the next morning kind of sport.
There is no way I would let my 18 year old go down there..I would have to go to supervise.
If I'd known then what I know now I would have shown my "girls" cause no one wants to see them now.
2. Mom- my mom, not your mom, my mom. I wish I could be more like my mom but I can't, I have tried but I can't. I used to get home or go to bed at 10 pm and my clothes would be washed, dried and folded or hung by 5:30 am.. Maybe that's why I always wore my favorite clothes over and over cause they were clean and I could. I wish I would have got her house cleaning skills or even half of them, my house would be very very thankful.
3. "M" Emma- is my baby girl. The last few days she has become very motherly to her Halloween bear, she is almost like nesting with it.. weird.. Anywho..she also sucks on it's ears. Remember when you were little and would suck on a wash cloth after losing a tooth..yeah that's what she sounds like.. yuck.
4. Money- the more ya have the more ya spend.
5. Mammoth Crocs- I love them...love...love...love - I also need a new pair..hint hint
6. Mountains- I love the mountains. One day I want to visit the Rocky mountains. And in another life I would like to mountain climb a big mama of a mountain but I hear I can't bring my cigarettes with me..so I'll wait.
7. Morris Day and the Time- I love him. Jungle Love, The Bird and Oaktree.. Oh now I want to dance in my Mammoth Crocs on a Mountain and throw Money at my Emma..O-E-O-E-O
8. Meatloaf- Traci at work gave me this recipe and the monsters love it. Hamburger, eggs, cheese, milk, onion, oatmeal..Mix it all together and make into big patties, like big hamburgers or make meatballs and top with brown sugar, ketchup and mustard mixture. You can add carrots, celery and some wheat germ, flax seed, green algae and fiber to make it healthier and the kids won't even know.
9. My MONSTER D. He is the Man of my life.
10. I can't come up with anything else at the moment but I will fill it in when I get them. I was going to say Manolo Blahnik shoes but really I have never seen a pair nor could I ever get my fat foot in them, nor could I ever in a million years afford them so I will leave them off my things I love list.
Oh I know--- M&M's..peanut of course..
What?
and I said that it was a classic and "Nobody puts baby in a corner" Well...it just happened... AGAIN. A week ago I was ready to walk out the door on our way to the AC/DC concert
and G told me that I couldn't take "Baby" (the camera).
My world was crushed, I wanted so bad to get a picture of Angus in his little school boy shorts. Well I was good and didn't take it but tried to get a picture with my phone that absolutely sucked. Anyways, I hope you all understood. So tonight we decided to go to a hockey game
and I thought for sure I could take it to the game...right? right!!! Fo sho???!!! Wrong. !!! Wednesday, January 21, 2009
The Paci
At any given moment of any given day you can find D in this position.. His dang phone is like a pacifier. He can text without even looking. I can't even call that the last number with out looking.
And this is what I get when I tell him to "Put that damn thang down!!!!" So he does but continues to text. It's like hyper note syndrome. Do you like me? Circle Yes or No.. Will you got "out" with me? Circle Yes or No.. By the time he's forty he will have arthritis in is thumbs or some new thing called "Numb Thumb" And I have the pictures to prove it.

Not my style
This is a picture of the dining room in the new HGTV dream home. Something with this house is just not my style but if it were given to me then I would be okay with it and find some way to redneck it up with some junk from OhiO... moving on...Okay, call me crazy, out of touch, or just flat out stupid I don't know. I thought this year's HGTV dream house was in Knoxville, Tn. Now I don't consider Knoxville exciting and place that I would visit all the time but I could stand to go there once and see what is happenin'. More like go there once and find that it is exciting and then call my self stupid for not investigating this sooner. Anywho.... I just found out that this house is in Sonoma, Cali.. what? A farm house in Sonoma and then take the tour and look at the neighbors. I don't know much about design but I don't think this new/old farm house look goes there. Well I did sign up but honestly I won't be too upset when I don't win. It would cost money to fly back and forth and then to put two of the monsters in one bedroom..World War III would break out. Especially after these last few days, but that another story which I am not ready to tell. But go check it out and sign up (ya have until the 19th). I kinda was hoping it was in Knoxville due to that only being a 6 hour drive which I could handle mentally and financially. Now watch me win and have to eat my words and make this post disappear forever..of course until I can't afford it and have to sell the damn thang. If any of you win I will come visit if ya need someone to explore Sonoma with ya... ok? okay!
Fashion sleep over
This weekend while we are out of town Emma is on a mini vAca / sLeEP oVeR/ FasHiOn SHoW at the vet's office. Today when I dropped her off I was telling her to be good and that maybe she would meet some new friends. The gal at the counter said there were a lot of little girls in back. One of the monsters then said that maybe she would have a fashion show while she was there. So I started thinking. On this cold ass weekend in SW Ohio what else is there to do than a fashion show.
Post pictures of your animals dressed up is some outfit, hat, jewelry or whatever they prefer to wear while lounging. Then leave me a comment for all to come visit. Monday I will post pictures Emma and all the details of her weekend. ... well not really... I might even get Baxter in the act. ...if he doesn't scratch my eyes out. . ~Cathy

Dreaming of heat
Craziness
I know a lot of others are worse off than me but I have to say a few things. 0 is not a pleasant number to live with. 0 degrees is miserable and I don't know how any living thing can live outside when it gets this cold. Let's think about the number zero for a minute. 0 dollars in your account..not a good thing. 0 hairs left on your head especially in 0 degree weather. 0 eggs when you are trying to make a cake. 0 Dolce and Gabana purses, tragedy.. I know I'm just whining but I had to go pick a monster up at dance and it was too dang cold for me. I should be thankful I'm living where some are with no electric and frozen water pipes. I will stop now.
Tagged
I was tagged by Cathy .. When tagged, you are challenged to go to your 4th folder and post the 4th picture that's in that folder. So here's mine! I find it hard to play sometimes cause they aren't always good pictures. Here are a few 4th in my mounds of pictures.
D running his first and last 5K run. Poor little thang was suckin' wind so bad I thought he was going to pass out. He was a trooper and made it to the finish line where my old camera wasn't fast enough to catch it. I was fuming. How do ya tell him to go back and cross the line again.
I am having a chat with Miss Safety Bell.

My long Saturday
Saturday we had our first dance competiton.
Here are a few pics of the almost 400 I took.

Build sled ramps....out of skateboard ramps
Wear your AC/DC pj pants all day...
Dress the dog up a g a i n...she is not very happy...

I have never seen some many false eyelashes in one building at a time. The makeup industry made some money today.
The gym floor was covered when it came time for awards.
Our teams won about 10 trophies all together. We kicked butt..
