I'm moving

No, not me silly- - but my blog... While I will still leave the Flops up I have created new blog(s) for your viewing enjoyment. After over a year of blogging I have a mess. I have blogs that I don't use, I have about 3 different emails running wild and I can't find a darn thing on the Flops. I am in the process of coming up with a name for "Show me whatcha got"..maybe "Show me Sunday"..Anywho.. jump on over and see what ya think.. You have to check this out.... Erin over at Sutton Grace made an awesome kids kitchen for her daughter.. I can't explain just run over and check it out... I hope I can remember this idea when the grandkids come around in let's say 12-15 years.. Heck, I won't even be able to remember my name...

80's murder mystery party

A few years ago G and I hosted a murder mystery party. It was a lot of fun. It was around Halloween so we or I decorated the house as a haunted mansion. We had about 20 friends and family and their kids so the house was busting at the seams. We played and ate and actually for some reason no one drank which was weird but we were too busy playing detective.. We were approached last week about having another one and this was my thought..

What if some of you host the same or similar party on the same night and then we all blog about our fun.. Anyone interested? I was thinking this time about having something fun like an 80's party...so tubular.. We could dress in our fish net gloves and our Madonna earrings and like gag the blogging world with a spoon..

When I was getting ready for work tonight I had some of my makeup out and thought I would get a pic.. I didn't have time to run downstairs to get "baby" so I grabbed my phone. I will get more pictures this weekend..

Blog Fart Friday

I have National Geographic TV on and I look up to find a small little beached whale screaming for help... I know this is life.. but why would a cameraman care enough to go out there and find this whale and then choose to stand there and film it til it either dies or the tide comes in... Oh, this makes me mad.. Ya know when I'm out taking motocross pictures I take the pictures but the minute someone wrecks I throw my camera down and try to help.. I would not, could not and will not stand there and take pictures of someone hurt. Now if they have just dumped it then they are fair game for future proof of their crash talents. ~Cathy

Kids loved it

Corn Casserole
Usually I drain a can of corn throw in some milk, sugar, salt and pepper and wa la..corn for dinner. The other night I added a few extra things and it just didn't turn out like planned but it was good.. Then a Traci told me to add corn bread mix... OMG how stupid was I.. I kept thinking how can I make this thinker like a casserole.. So last night myself and little monster put our heads together and made our now famous, keep your hands back or they will be bitten off Corn Casserole.
We added frozen corn this time, butter and sour cream and sugar.. I use raw sugar..

Then we added milk or condensed milk but plain milk was fine.. and Jiffy Corn Bread mix....

Salt and Pepper and baked it til golden brown.. And don't ask me on what temp or how long cause I don't know..

I didn't even get a picture of the final product cause it was gone.. GONE.... Gone with a capital G....GONE!!!!

Next time I will have to make a double batch cause this was GOOOOOOdddddd!!! Try it and let me know.

Corn Casserole

Corn- Canned (drained) or frozen or fresh if you are feeling extra perky

Sour Cream

Butter

Sugar (raw or regular)

Milk (regular or condensed)

Corn Bread mix

Salt and Pepper

Bake at til golden brown on 350 -400... I don't know the exact temp... shame on me.

My Sunday

Sunday night I did something I never do... I hung out in the man cave with G and I actually played Halo on Xbox live... I was begging for mercy from the other teams not to shoot me...I was a beginner. Then I grabbed the camera and took some pics.. Can anyone tell me why this is highlighted?

I think it's time for a pedicure. I was trying to get my reflection in the door but it didn't work. See the green shirt?

It's always better when someone else makes the drinks.

That was my Sunday night... I am tired and ready for bed. That Halo is intense....

Someone warn the kid

Ok so every year at this time I get in a mood... Awwww, summer is almost over.... Yeeeaaahhhhh summer is almost over... then we have this.. 2 birthdays a week apart.. Monster 1 turned 16 today..watch out all vehicles in a 50 mile radius of Southern Ohio and my baby boy D turns 15 next week.. I still feel the pain of delivering him but that's okay.... all the pain was worth it.. Okay so I went to K-rogers today and got balloons and some flowers to welcome in their birthday... make the house look a little different than the normal chaos...

Here comes the stress every year for having a simple little boy that does not require too much... his cake.. Every year I ask what kind of cake he wants... I always hold by breath in hopes that he wants some fancy Cake Boss cake and I can pay out the nose for it.... Oh no no...not my simple little thing...he wants my cake.. "I just want your cake..." That means..classic yellow with classic chocolate icing.. I cringe..break out into a sweat and don't get sleep for days...knowing what's coming... I even watched a cake show the other night to get inspired... Okay,,so maybe if I would use a mixer not a whisk and my nails would have been filled in and if I would have used Crisco instead of the off name Kroger brand of oil I would have better luck.. my problem.. I don't exactly exactly measure right... I don't exactly time it like I should..never have and never will.. G always gets on me cause I don't time stuff... I throw it in and watch til I think it's done... isn't that what all good cooks do...? Yes? Are you shaking your heads right about now...?Anywho... I can bake the cake I just can't decorate the cake... This year I tried a double decker...yeah my mistake...Mr. C and D are in the den with me and I am trying to explain blogging... C asks if I don't have something else to waste time on.... Mr. C thinks this looks like a big boy..I tried to ice it... and welll llll NOOOOOO!
I didn't take a picture of the back cause it is down right hideous.... I walked back into the kitchen to find the back side has falled over... I wanted so much to post a falling rock sign... I explained to him that I am not a baker I am a 911 dispatcher... Give me a accident, I can handle it.. give me a SWAT call out with guys with guns.. I can handle it... Give me the task of making my baby boy his favorite birthday cake and I am a mess.... Where is Martha, Ree or Rachel when I need them... Cathy

Natural alright...It was/smelled like i had nothing on...Really...I stunk..Like a skunk...

Sometimes you buy a product and it doesn't work exactly like you wished or hoped and you throw it on your product shelf or shelves and grab it once in a while..not this one..it's going straight to the dumpster.. ..

Dinner and a fish

We had pork chops and

my special blend of Emerils and Mrs. Dash, Butter, Salt and Pepper done in the oven or on the grill in foil...kids love them. and then introducing the newest member of the family "Oranges" He is a carnival fish won by the youngest last night.. He now resides on the kitchen table..for approx the new 3 days til he dies...That's what most carnival fish do... you win them, you buy a bowl, food and get used to saying "Good morning Mr. Oranges the carnival fish" and then they die.. with the exception of Squirty, D's carnival fish that lived for like 3.5 years.

Welcome Mr. Oranges...
