We went to the lake yesterday afternoon and played around in the water, ate dinner, played cornhole and had a bon fire. My SIL went home so I stayed in the camper with 6 kids. They were so tired they went right to sleep but I was freezing and I finally got up and found that my niece had set the A/C at 60. brrrrr....
I love camping down here. It's just family and friends and it's like 5 minutes away from the house. There is no traveling, no expensive hotel room and the kids love it. It's the easiest vacation, no roughin it here though, we have a shower house with hot water, bathroom, ceiling fans, frig, and microwave in the shelter houses. There is so much for the kids to do. They can swim, canoe, boat, tube, ride jet ski (age limit), play in the sand, ride bikes, play games and they even love to paint rocks. There is one shelter house that is used for crafty stuff. One year they wrote Toby Keith on the picnic table. He was supposed to come down and fish while in Cincinnati for a concert but never made it.
There is only rule to all this fun..... if you are in the water you must have a life jacket on. Period!!!
The kids went to the other side of the lake to build a rope swing on the cliff.
We have a new generation of water babies. I only had to ask him once if he wanted to go with the big boys. His answer was "Yep" and he headed out in the water. Then he cried when he had to get off the float. **Second Picture** Looks like someone took a bath in the lake.
Some fancy jumps- The cousins from Texas went fishing- The boys have some Captain in them.
"Why do you have to take so many pictures?" Because I want to have pictures and memories of my child experiencing everything in life.
