Porta Portraits

Remember a month or so ago when I went geocaching with my parents and well mom was in control of the camera.. She is a baaaad bad person. Well this last weekend we went after the race was cancelled. I was planning on finding this one cache that was out in the water so I put her in charge of the camera.. My mistake.
Future note to self- Mom + camera + me + porta john = porta portraits. Yes, she struck again.
Okay, let me ask why when I get ready to open the door to I bend over like I got a stick stuck up my butt? I always think there will be some big snake ready to jump out at me or this time cause the park was away from town that someone might be hanging in there. Would anyone ever kill themselves in a porta john? I guess if you thought your life is that bad it wouldn't really matter.. IDK... Anywho. She got me. I didn't even think about her outside till .....
She opened up the door.. See I told she was a bad bad person... Luckily I was getting ready to come out after washing my hands...NOT!!!! Anyways- She gave birth to me and let me say again.. it was a breech birth so I know that was a bit harder than normal not the normal is a piece of cake but I'm sure butt first hurts a little bit more.. She still feels the need to check on my sometimes..just kidding but today she felt it highly necessary to make sure I didn't fall in. I was screaming,,,shut the damn door and laughing at the same time. So we had to continue the prank.

You'd think by now they would have known what was coming but we just wanted to see if we could get dad worked up.. and well, that's another story. G was laughing so hard he couldn't breath and mom was spitting pop out her nose so in the end we did get one dad's last nerve but it was all in the name of fun... Right? Right! Ya know dad's mad when he says "Just TAKE me HOME!!!!!!!"Everyone got their turn except mom cause she started it. We had fun running around the Waynesville, Corwin area. We found about 7 that day. I think from now on we will take pictures of every porta john along the way. That will be our signature picture for geocaching...

Stay tuned till next time on Porta Portraits

Brisk Easter afternoon

After a long week of spring break, a trip to the zoo, aquarium, motocross practice, bon fire and 7 kids running through the house last night G and I took a well deserved nap. All of the kids had left to run with their other parents so went out for some adult time.. wooohoooo a free childless night what will we do? We decided to run to Best Buy to get a printer and more memory cards but they were closed so we went geocaching. This was the first time G had actually been out and found one. When we found the first one he said.. "dang these things are really do exist." I think for a while he thought I was loosing it and making things up...hmmm. maybe I do sometimes but at least I don't see a shrink for it...lol.. Well I have pictures but they won't upload tonight so I will try tomorrow.. Anyways, we found about 4 and I think he may be hooked a little. ~Cathy

Looking for the cache

January 2nd G and I took the one monster and went geocaching for a bit. We also took Miss Emma with us. She rides on my upper back and her head on my shoulder. She does make a comfy neck pillow. We stopped in Lebanon at the Veteran Monument to look for the cache.

This little park is kind of in the middle of downtown but it's so peaceful.

G looked and looked but we never found the cache. Actually we never found any that day. Shucks.
We actually complained that day that it was too cold to be outside..I would take that day back in a heartbeat.. A friend asked me the other day if I had been out geocaching...I wonder has she been outside lately. I didn't even know what to say..UMMMMM NO!!!!

Oh my!!!

Yesterday G called and said he was running over to the shopping center. I asked him to exchange some "flavors" at Bath and Body Works. I explained what bag they were in and where the receipt was. It started out that he couldn't find the receipt. He kept looking and it turned out to be the last one in the stack of Christmas receipts. Growl #1. Then I tried to explain to him what to exchange. Growl #2. So I sent him a text- here's how it went.

Exchange:
2 Coconut Limes
1 Orange
___________
for any 3 Honey Suckle. Ya with me so far?

P.S. If they don't have 3 different Honey Suckle then get Dancin Waters. Still with me?
P.S.S. They do have some old flavors on sale if your feeling the spirit.

Okay they come flying in the door and I was handed a bag. Out goes 4 different Pomegranate things for one of the monsters. Guess those were on sale. Ok.... So I look in the bag. ...

2 Coconut Limes
1 Honey Suckle Spray
1 Lotion
1 Shower Gel
1 Bubble bath (cool right? I got everything I wanted plus 2 coconuts back..which I like but was trying something new. But I will use the coconut in the summer.

So I am trying to figure this out and my math is not the same as his math.
2 coconut returned- 2 come back
1 orange spray equals 1 Honey Suckle spray plus
1 lotion
1 shower gel and
1 bubble bath. .hmmmmmmmmm.....all the way to the kitchen where he hands me the old Bath and Body bag with what else..
2 more lotions and 1 more spray. Ya still with me, cause I am confused trying to remember all of this.

So he handed the girl my return but had picked up the same coconut to buy on sale. Yeah... So I thanked him and now I have Honey Suckle spread all over the house. Men...he really did try. If I would have sent him to Home Depot to exchange a lug nut for a pipe wrench he would have understood. Lesson learned- don't send a man to Bath and Body works. hmmmmmm...

Pictionary

Friday night my mom and dad came down for our Thanksgiving feast. We all gathered in the basement to play Pictionary. We actually couldn't find the adult or 1st edition so we used the kids version which proved to be enough stimulation for all of us. My dad laughed so hard I thought he was going to split his jeans. My dad getting ready for the challenge.

My mom showing off her artistic skill. She is a very crafty person but we will leave the artist part our of her resume'.
We had a lot of fun and decided that no one is the family could draw well. I'm sure that next year will be better. We all are in Pictionary training.

My man

Tonight G decided he was going to fix the satellite himself so he went out the window onto the roof. I was real uneasy about him being two stories up at 9:30 at night but he assured me that he would be okay. He just got around to the front of the house when I heard a commotion and he screamed (not really screamed but I don't know what word to use) - - I thought he slipped and started thinking how in the world I was going to help him.. I had just asked Emma if she knew how to call 9-1-1 and she just looked at me and yawned.. what help she would be. But then he said that there was a big spider out there and he had walked into the web.. oh, yuck but oh, good, that's all... Anyways, he jerked the dish back into place and walaaa..we had tv again. He is so good. All in the sake of football.

But what happened right before I had ESPN was such a wonderful thing. I haven't been feeling good and had some tests and well I will get into later this week after I find out what's going on or not going on. But anyways, I needed my hair colored and so I thought I would try something myself. G helped me highlight my hair and ya know it turned out awesome, just the way I wanted it. He is a great man even though I get mad at him over man things he does, he does hair wonderfully.. I think I'll hire him. So while my hair was going from dark brown to blonde.. yikes, that's scary- he was crawling across the roof fighting spiders. Yeah for my man.. I think I'll call him G-G.. I'll let ya know how he feels about that.

Random Thoughts

Okay, this is an explanation on how I think.. I usually type what I am thinking even it doesn't make sense cause this is what I do at work. I type what I hear.. I don't have room on my screen to write a story. I need the facts. G always gets on me cause I don't finish a sentence but this is what goes through my head. In my line of work I think, think and think. I have to think about 4 different things at once, How many did they say were injured, which squad went where and what channel are the helicopters on again and do I answer the radio, the phone or 911 first. Actually we usually try to do it all at once but what comes first is the question. Well it's not really a question to me it's just doing it. Anywho.,,
I started out tonight to talk about G and the electric and the new little pringles I bought and this is how it went when I started to type..

G and I ran into Wal-Mart today to get some pool chemicals since no electricity =equals= green mossy pool.. I am terrible at remembering stories, jokes, and quotes, I always get it half right..but one I do remember is the line in the movie "You've Got Mail" Meg Ryan was talking to the male that worked in her store and he had a date that night. Does anyone remember what he said? Anyone???? He was going to to buy some eucalyptus candles so his apartment smelled mooossey.

Wow I wasn't too far off - here is the quote :

George Pappas: I'm going to get eucalyptus candles cuz it makes my apartment smell Moss-a.

Anyways, I have always remembered that quote.. I don't know why cause I can't remember what I had for dinner last night but anywho.. Back to my story..

G and I went to Wal-Mart, they didn't have any chemicals but I did find these new little Pringles- Pringle Minis.. They are the cutest things, they are shaped just like regular Pringles but smaller and they seem to be a little thicker, not so flaky. So next time your out grab a bag. I say they are OK....

The next thing I want to cover are men and their toys, addictions, comfy blankie, pacifiers-(I call the tv remote in the bedroom G's pacifier)

On our way home from Wal-mart we called the house to see if the electric was on.. I have been doing this every few hours for the past 4 days. G just happened to call and OMG there it was - the answering machine.. yahoooo, yippeee we have electric. So we went home and he turns on the TV... Oh NOOOOOOO.. the dish on the roof must have been moved during the storm and nothing would come on. He couldn't even check the signal.. I can see a very painful weekend coming. It's one thing to have no electric but you can't give the boy a car and then tell him he can't drive it... I could see the hurt in his eyes although he tried to blow it off as no big deal but I could see the tv addiction withdrawal coming. So I went up to get ready for work and he went out the front door in front of me mumbling something about the laptop that he had put in my car.. well it's really his car but I have been driving it. He has been driving the other car and the poor big ass land yacht has been parked since 1- it's needs gas and 2- I'm not paying $4.15 a gallon when I have another car to drive. Anywho, as I walked out the walk all I could see what his silhouette and this headphone thing on his head. I thought for a minute cause he's not a gadget man at all and couldn't figure why he would have a phone headset on and then I saw it.. He was wearing his XBox head set and in one hand his laptop and the other an Xbox controller.. I just shook my head and went on. Maybe he is a gadget geek.. he'd never admint it.
I then left for work and left him to mourn and destress with his Halo..
