Kids loved it

Corn Casserole
Usually I drain a can of corn throw in some milk, sugar, salt and pepper and wa la..corn for dinner. The other night I added a few extra things and it just didn't turn out like planned but it was good.. Then a Traci told me to add corn bread mix... OMG how stupid was I.. I kept thinking how can I make this thinker like a casserole.. So last night myself and little monster put our heads together and made our now famous, keep your hands back or they will be bitten off Corn Casserole.
We added frozen corn this time, butter and sour cream and sugar.. I use raw sugar..

Then we added milk or condensed milk but plain milk was fine.. and Jiffy Corn Bread mix....

Salt and Pepper and baked it til golden brown.. And don't ask me on what temp or how long cause I don't know..
I didn't even get a picture of the final product cause it was gone.. GONE.... Gone with a capital G....GONE!!!!
Next time I will have to make a double batch cause this was GOOOOOOdddddd!!! Try it and let me know.
Corn Casserole
Corn- Canned (drained) or frozen or fresh if you are feeling extra perky
Sour Cream
Butter
Sugar (raw or regular)
Milk (regular or condensed)
Corn Bread mix
Salt and Pepper
Bake at til golden brown on 350 -400... I don't know the exact temp... shame on me.

My Sunday

Sunday night I did something I never do... I hung out in the man cave with G and I actually played Halo on Xbox live... I was begging for mercy from the other teams not to shoot me...I was a beginner. Then I grabbed the camera and took some pics.. Can anyone tell me why this is highlighted?

I think it's time for a pedicure. I was trying to get my reflection in the door but it didn't work. See the green shirt?

It's always better when someone else makes the drinks.
That was my Sunday night... I am tired and ready for bed. That Halo is intense....

The Ride

The oldest monster drove me and d co-piloted up to the market to get firewood so me and the little one rode in the back.. the oldest was complaining that she was creeping at like 4 mph....I explained that this is a different world at a campground and no one is in a hurry...

this golf cart has spinners and a Rolls Royce hood ornament. We were kind of in the mountains...mountains for Ohio anyways.

The pilot and co-pilot.
Some of the trailers that are all decked out.
After days of walking around in flip flops or thongs as we called them I finally put on my comfy shoes and a big dog came out of the creek and stepped on them.. They were clean til this trip..my mistake.
That's it for our trip pics.. I should have taken more.. I meant to mobile blog but had no mobile so..that's it.. In the end we had fun.. another vacation to add to list...

Fun in the rain???

Geocaching or geocaching.com is a world wide treasure hunt. You enter coordinates into your gps and then walk around a hunt the treasure. You make an account on the website and then you log your finds. It's a lot of fun for the whole family and great exercise. You may think your just gonna get out of the car and walk over to a tree and you find yourself walking clear across a yard, park or trail before you know it. Above- This is called a micro.. it was screwed to a stick that stuck down in a stunk (below)..very clever.

We found a travel bug geo.. Dad will take it home and place it ours that we hid up there so it can move on.
This one had all kinds of treasures in it including the travel bug. Play doh- key chains- McDonald toys.

Can you find the cache?
This little thing had a big surprise..
This snake jumped out at us when she opened it.
I was off looking in the wrong spot when my mom found it.. before I could get over there I heard them both scream. Here baby monster is saying Oooopen iiiit.

Mom and Dad signing the log for another one found.

Yes a little bug, nano or micro as they are called was hidden in the fence.. Would ya ever think to stop and check a fence post?
Couple hints for beginners. Wear old shoes, make up a fanny pack with pens, and trickets to leave behind or trade. Have a place for your gps, phone and camera. I don't know how many times I've gotten out of the car and had to go back for a pen. Come up with a system on how to orgnaize your trail or you'll be driving all over and missing so many. The picture above, we went to a park but I didn't realize there were 2 more in the park. I was there and now have to go back..well if I want the find. ~Cathy

10 and 2

The time has come to turn over the keys to the oldest monster. She got her temps today and we went driving. She did really good. I little bit too much gas in the turns but she worked it out. I only flinched once. 2 more monsters to go and I will start breathing again.

Ice, Rocks and Lights

Last Saturday we went to Sports Plus over in Evandale for my work's kids Christmas Party. We started out in a large dinner hall with pizza and balloons. The balloons were hit with the all the kids. Then they headed for the ice rink. D and a friend were sizing up the ice. I think this is the first time that D had ever been on ice skates. He wasn't sure about it but eventually made it out. But if I look back now I think he was sizing up an ice skater named Grace. They got all laced up after a few pit stops and made their way for the ice. Here they are trying to get a feel of it. Then he took off and made it around a few times.

This is a group of them sticking together for support. You always want someone you know close incase you take the plunge.
They are cooking now.

Then they found the visitor section and hung out for the rest of their ice skating career.

I tried to zoom in and after looking at this picture I can tell what they are doing. These two wouldn't leave. I hear that "Grace" with all her grace caught their eye.
They got to rock climb and play laser tag.
This game of "Deal or No Deal" became the popular hang out point for everyone. G loves to watch this game on TV I wish he could have been there.
They all had a good time. I think D wants to go back so he can set in the freezing rink and watch "Grace" He kind of fell head over heels with her. This is not like him. My baby boy is growing up. Another year of memories captured for their graduation slide shows. That's what I always tell them, especially when I get an aweful picture of them.

UV man

This is UV man. My son was supposed to make a bracelet out of the pipe cleaner but the rebel made UV man instead. This is UV man hanging on the couch. Not much but some action going on.
This is UV man after he ran naked outside in the harmful rays. Yes I said naked- NAKED- NaKED- nAKed. He's a dirty ole' man. They call him the STREAK! yAOWWW
After the kids abused UV man to MR. Sun they played around a while. I supervised and laid on the warm, crunchy-straw like ground with baby and did what I do best (or atleast what I like to do) I will never claim to be a photographer but maybe one day when I grow up...It's a dream. For now I must capture the monsters in all their games and have proof that yes, once in a while they do have fun and can't say that they are bored.. I am so sick of hearing this. I'M BORED...
This is D standing over me taking a picture of me taking a picture of him. Except on his end I am sure it was sent out that very moment to all my stray children around the city.

This was S's idea to jump and have baby look at them.
Then we went bigger and better. They jumped off the retaining wall.

Then we all went inside and were once again BORED..
