The oldest monster drove me and d co-piloted up to the market to get firewood so me and the little one rode in the back.. the oldest was complaining that she was creeping at like 4 mph....I explained that this is a different world at a campground and no one is in a hurry...
this golf cart has spinners and a Rolls Royce hood ornament.
We were kind of in the mountains...mountains for Ohio anyways.

The plane, mini horse and the homestead
note----- I meant to post these at different times but got in a hurry and hit publish... so the next three post are new...
I got the kids these planes at the store the night before I left. We took these to Gatlinburg before and they had a blast flying them off the balcony...so I got them one for this trip. D had a toothpick sticking out of the front wanting to fly it...SoNOT...... he was bummed that I wouldn't let him.. my luck it would have hit G in the head or something.
She did her stickers to plan.

This is the homestead- 5 people, 4 rooms, no bathroom, deflated air mattress, no noise barrier from drunk partying til 3am, setting off firecrackers, radio blarring, and cornhole thuds.. yes, this is a tent...yes it was fun,,yes we will do it again,,,yes I would love to have a camper....
D found the night before that Ravioli is wonderful on the campfire.. so he made the family some Dinty Moore beef stew for dinner one night.. and baked beans, which no one ate..
I have no idea why this text is highlighted but oh well... see the can of nutrispray or whatever it was..yeah we used that in the outhouse the few times we used it.
~CathyKeeping kids busy while camping
I bought a bat and ball and these Lacrosse looking toys at the resort market. It kept them busy on their down time.
Then the wind caught the ball and slammed into the trailer next door.. the lady inside whipped open the blinds and yelled something... ya know if you can't go have fun..don't go. What does she expect.
They played in the creek. I heard one little girl yell that she caught a lobster.. her dad yelled..."We're eatin gooooood tonight." It was actually a craw dad.. then I heard them selling them one craw dad for one sea shell...
Then during the down pour of rain we hit the tent. G watched a movie, the girls colored and D played a Star Wars game that eventually he made it past the first level. He had a time the whole weekend beating this.. but if gave him something to do.
In the arcade he won a bunch of tickets and bought this camo slinky.. he also bought this half rubber ball looking thing that would suction to your back or head and then pop off.. it hurt pretty good.... after I have been looking at these pictures I realized that I didn't take too many pictures of the real highlights.New family sport
Okay first of all.. I am sorry that I haven't been around. I have been visiting just not posting so here are a few pics from our little family time together we had this past weekend.
Away we go CAMPING.....
We found our way to Long's Retreat in Southern Ohio and set up the tent in a cute little spot by the creek. The maps showed bathroom across from our site so we thought it would be okay...NO!!!! It was an OUTHOUSE, his / hers, no lights, the door didn't shut and there was no lock. We thought about moving but we just went with it. We would drive up to the shower house when we had to go. I dont' think I took any pictures of it cause I didn't want to expose Baby to the smell...
Let me just say we had fun, the tent way okay, I wanted a camper, the tent was okay, I want my own toilet, the tent was okay, we spent quality time together, the tent was OKAY....
After we set up the tent we hit the beach. This is D going off one of the two slides. It was a bit chilly that day so we opted for our new family sport.
I just had to get a picture of D in the girls Teletubbies towel.. I don't think he even realized which one he grabbed.
Okay on the the new family sport next to bumper cars. The kids loved the go carts. We actually thought about getting them into some sort of mini car races.. The youngest monster loved it.. She was very aggressive and was bound to win until her sister spun her out and she went to the end of the line,,,smiling all the way. This is D, 6ft 1 someting trying to get into this little car..

This was right before the spin out.
They had a blast and could have rode all day but at the price of $1.00 a minute they went about 8 minutes and that was it. G did stop on our way out on Sunday to ask if they wanted to ride one last time and only the youngest new racer wanted to so we went on.. she wouldn't have raced without some competition. We need to look into a little speedway for her.. she needs a hobby.
