I don't know what the kids love more, carving the pumpkins or just saving the seeds to toast. G and I sat there while she slopped pumpkin guts into the bowl. At one point we looked at each other and about gagged. He told her that he thought she was ready to gut a deer.. oh, just jokin, he probably wouldn't even do that. Maybe we can get Sarah Palin to come over and show us how it's done. MAVERICK.. 
Oh, guess who got a bath after this little adventure. Yes she stuck her face right down inside. She had pumpkin in her eyebrows and on her chin. She doesn't know that I have pics but oh I do.. I have pics of everything. Their photo essay at graduation will take days.

We have a couple more pumpkins to carve and I will try to show step by step how to roast the seeds. If they don't eat them before I get to it.

Oh, I do love the feeling of all those slimy pumpkin guts, stuck between your fingers. Kind of gross...but, makes me think of years and years of childhood Halloweens!
