Kitchen Part 1

Yes, those are Christmas lights if you're asking, but they make the perfect night light and make the kitchen warm and cozy.

This is the kids snack basket. I fill it once a week and that's all they get. It's not so much them but their stray friends..they will flat out wipe me out of snacks in a weekend. Update: Let me add this so I don't sound like a terrible mom.. I fill the snack basket but the rest are in the cabinet. So our kids can get whatever, whenever they want and the regular friends know where the snack cabinet is..it's just for the groups that pass through when swimming or gathering.. The night we had the kids birthday party with let me say this really loud...24 teenagers we had snacks for them but then when they gathered in the kitchen they started routing through the snack basket. I didn't fill it on purpose but they ate everything that was left. If I put everything out and continue to refill it over the weekend or when friends are here they will eat everything. I even know the regulars favorites. C likes ravioli, W likes pepperoni and C likes G's diet Mountain Dew. M eats anything and R always talks D into making sick mixtures of things. Juice, Sugar, Sprinkles, and oh I don't know what else. So it's not like that's all they get for the week and nothing else, I just hold it back to make it last longer. Am I terrible or what?
I must take pictures cause the house never looks like this except after I clean so here they are. This is how I dream of living but life gets in the way and things explode. Now I am off the clean the other views and will post them later. ~Cathy

Mine never looks that good, even when it's clean!

I know I just posted, but I think I may have to steal your Christmas light idea. I think that would be so cool.

What a neat idea for the kids - a snack basket! Thank you for the sweet comments on my friend's kitchen, too. :)
